Griffith Park Horse Rentals are located at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center on West Riverside Drive in Burbank, California. The center is located approximately 12 miles from Los Angeles and has free parking for visitors opposite the stables. The center is open daily for trail rides between 8am and 6pm from April to October and 8am to 5pm the rest of the year.
All trail rides are guided by experienced staff from the stables and are available to anyone six years and above of all riding skill levels. However, special rides for children under six can be arranged with the horse hand-led by a guide, and riding lessons are also available. Excursions run as frequently as four times an hour and no prior reservation is required although it is recommended for groups of 10 or more people.
On Friday and Saturday evenings a sunset ride to a Mexican restaurant is organized with the ride taking an hour and a half followed by an hour at the restaurant. Special horsemanship and horse club day camps are available in the spring, summer and winter for people six years and older. Participants spend a lot of time riding Western style and taking part in riding activities.
