I used to attend the Porterville Moonlight Flyin during the 1970s and 1980s. Took my daughter there in my Cessna 150 and we slept in a tent on the lawn. She wanted to go on Dawn Patrol, but she slept in instead of going on Dawn Patrol. I was Number 2 off that morning. In 1980 I won Best Homebuilt Biplane with my Pitts S1D that I had freshly repainted. Do you still have the Moonlight Flyin? It was a great time for all at one of the best local airports around.
