I am not sure of that at all. That got a lot of publicity since it was in a very affluent part of the NYC metropolitan area. The "Travis" story is the reason that all those adorable chimps in ads are very young.

Today's press release from Maryland's Department of Natural Resources. It doesn't really impact me since I'm outside the current range of the state's bears, although a couple have been hit on the roads and killed the last eight or ten years. It outlines why supplying human food is bad.
