Also extremely expensive.

The parts of Nashville that are nice are either liberal parts of the city or very upscale wealthy Republican suburbs.

I was looking for jobs in major metros about a decade ago. Being from TN, Nashville was the first logical choice. I could never line up the pay to the cost of living. I assume it’s worse now.

I made much more in Indianapolis than I could have in Nashville then. Indianapolis was notably cheaper.

Charlotte is like another Jacksonville. Once considered the "buckle of the Bible Belt" the explosive growth with transplants from many blue areas has tipped the city/metro blue in recent elections, even tipping the bordering northern SC suburbs as well.

There is no more obvious choice than DFW.

I have lived in Austin for the past 9 years and let me tell you, this town is swimming in women. Single straight men are hard to come by. My single straight female roommate often complains this city as (in her words) a "taco buffet" lol. It's also a very liberal city, and very outdoorsy. True there are no mountains. But there's tons of hiking, state parks, water based activities. You can't turn around without hitting someone who wants to ride bikes or jog or do something outside. It's one thing I hate about the dating scene here as I'm not outdoorsy either.

So I strongly disagree with this assessment.

People in Charlotte are overall mostly moderate to leaning red. I’m pretty sure the only county in the Charlotte area to go blue is the primary county. The rest are ruby red. Mecklenburg (Charlotte) was only 67% Biden in 2020 and immediately surrounding counties was north of 70% Trump. Compare that to a Seattle where the entire metropolitan area is blue and then some counties touching the metro blue also. That’s the same with DC, etc.

I think conservative people can live anywhere and be relatively happy if they choose. But really, if politics stings that much for you, just avoid Boston, NY, Philly, San Francisco, Chicago, DC, Seattle, Portland and LA. Otherwise, you’re good. I think even Denver & Minneapolis should be good for conservative women unless you plan on going out of your way to shove your opinion down people’s throats.

If you can’t get along with people in places like Charlotte as a conservative woman, then quite honestly, it’s a you issue.

Other than the Bay Area d, a conservative would be completely fine in any of those other places. Its very easy to find conservatives in LA, DC, Boston, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, and NY. Even if they are the minority, they are very much there. Hell, the areas around Portland are chalk full of far right people even if the city and immediate suburbs are far left.

Reno, NV might be a little on the outdoorsy side (though none of my friends when I lived there were into that) and is a politically moderate city that's also majority male.

Could also look into Bellevue,
Actually I’d bet Austin is one of the most outdoor focused towns in the south and maybe the US. Very fit town full of single girls. Not that I or the op would care

I don’t disagree but in the city limits of DC, SF I have seen people (very few times over years) stop talking to someone when they were found out to be a Republican, openly mocked unnecessarily, etc. but still, just hop the city limits of DC in Arlington and you find a ton of Clarendon-Bro’s who are Trump supporters even. But in general, their political leanings are going to be more moderate - if they even care about politics - than say some staffer, non-profit politically passionate person in a group house in Columbia Heights DC or something.

But yeah. In certain social circles of certain areas of a few metropolitan areas, you might have to deal with people openly hating on your beliefs. Here you may see posters of Trump behind bars, in a suburb of TX I have to see trucks with profane stickers, a ton of flags meant to intimidate people of opposing beliefs, etc.

But really, just move to a place you like if there’s nothing that you think harms you… if it’s just made up “but there’s people of different beliefs” - that’s silly to an extent. Don’t hide yourself but don’t be all up in peoples faces over dumb political stuff.

Spot on about Portland….once you get out of the immediate city it gets conservative real quick.
