That support building will become the new city hall. I'm guessing it would at least be 5 or 6 stories.

It was torn down to build the tower. It was an impressive building, but at the time was deemed archaic and the movement to save it was sadly minimal. I've got a great little pamphlet about it at home but am up in Missouri this weekend.

Actually it was torn down to build the wings.

If the powers didn't have their way,we'll probably still have the tower and the old courthouse.

That’s so disappointing! I really wish greater efforts were put in place to save and restore the building! I’m in my 20’s, I’ve just recently realized it even existed.

This would have been the ideal set up IMO as well. I really hope we save and renovate the current tower with the necessary additions.

I couldn't agree more. If option 2 does become reality,I really hope the support building fronts 10th street with the plaza area being between the two buildings.

The Mayor is clearly slowing down the renovations now. 6 million dollars to spend and she still pulling stupid ideas out her ***.

Why would you sink $6 million into a building that will possibly be demolished in the near future?
