O's won again tonight. Now 8-2 for last ten games. Perhaps that new manager was just what they needed?

I think it was the "playing for your job / no one is safe" with Buck and also Brian Roberts return. A healthy Pie and Gonzalez don't hurt either. From Today, a .500 record to finish the season would put them at 66 W's and a 35-26 record under Buck. Not bad..

Showalter's a great choice. He is just the guy they need right now. What this team really needs is a new owner.

BEST AUGUST in 13 YEARS..16-10 after completing another 3 game sweep of the LAA (6-0 vs them on the season).

Just a side note..I can't believe there was not interest in Guthrie this trade deadline. Anyone watching the guy can see the talent..not sure what has clicked the last 6 starts (1.51 era), but I'll take it.

Well, the season's over for the O's, though it never had a chance of going anywhere. At least since Buck Showalter came along the O's rose from playing .350 baseball to ending the season a tick about the .400 mark and no longer have the worst record in baseball.

Oddly enough, the O's ended 30 games under .500 at 66-96 or .407 and Tampa Bay won the AL East at 30 games over .500 at 96-66 or .593, i.e., perfectly reversed stats. Ahhh, symmetry.

The O's played .500 ball in the 2nd half, but played .600 ball with Buck. The pitchers ERA was outstanding since he took over..almost leading the league. If they get two corner infielders (or move Nolan, Nick, etc..) maybe they contend for the WC next year.

This could be a very exciting team considering the youth and a solid new manager (Buck). 2011 should be much better than 2010 for you guys.

Hey Andy, Any reason you couldn't offer more than a utility guy and bullpen arm for a solid 30 HR guy? Stick him at either 1b or 3b..Nice job.

Dammit, not even May and already in last place.

After starting out 6-1 they've gone 2-11 and were beat by the dammed yankees in all 4 games they've played so far in 2011.

Orioles have some of the most overrated players and hyped up players in the whole league, I'm not surprised so far.
