Orioles just swept a 3-game series against the Red Sox, at Fenway.
Bottom of the ninth Boston's catcher was ejected for arguing with the ump on a strike call. In the tenth the Red Sox had to put in a utility player to fill the catcher's position.
Orioles scored six runs in the top of the tenth.
In the 3-game series, from the 6th inning onward, the O's outscored the Red Sox 19-2.
Team is now 8-4, only 1.5 games behind the Yankees who visit Baltimore at the end of April for a 4-game set.

The Baltimore Orioles optioned struggling infielder Jackson Holliday to Triple-A Norfolk on Friday.
Holliday, 20, is just 2-for-34 (.059) with one RBI and 18 strikeouts in 10 games since making his major league debut on April 10.
The son of seven-time All-Star outfielder Matt Holliday, the younger Holliday joined the Orioles after hitting .333 with two homers and nine RBIs in 10 games at Norfolk.
He was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 draft out of Stillwater (Okla.) High School. Playing shortstop and second base, he has batted .321 with 15 homers, 93 RBIs and 29 stolen bases in 155 games in the minors.

The surplus value on Robert’s deal is diminishing, and other teams might be more likely to meet what is sure to be a hefty price.
Still, the Orioles’ outfield production has tailed off in May. Anthony Santander is eligible for free agency after this season, Cedric Mullins and Austin Hays after next season. Colton Cowser is in a 5-for-35 slump and a veteran right-handed hitter like Kevin Pillar ultimately could make sense. Hays is the only pure right-handed hitter in the group, though Jorge Mateo can play outfield and Santander is a switch-hitter who generally hits lefties better than righties.
The trick for the Orioles going forward will be figuring out which of their position prospects are keepers, and which ones they should trade. Coby Mayo and Connor Norby both bat right-handed, but aren’t necessarily future outfielders. Mayo is a Kris Bryant-sized third baseman who might end up at first. Norby plays second and left, but isn’t especially proficient at either.

The Orioles only obstacle to reaching the WS in a watered down AL is a dangerous NY team if Judge/Soto play 150+ games apiece
Problem is, the Yankees are in the AL East with us. AL East champ likely gets a bye but we'd have to win to get that bye. Of course, that bye did us little good last year.
As far as the AL, lets not forget the Guardians who have the best record in the AL at the moment. And KC is showing a real pulse again.

It isn't going to be easy.
CLE are pretenders from a a brutal AL Central. They're one and done in the playoffs.
BOS and TOR are terrible.
Now that both HOU and TB are officialy bad and atrocious it's clear the AL is a two team league now.
NY is even without Cole and still have the best SP in MLB. The BP could pose problems.
