Description: Today the hospital is a far cry from the World War I era, wood-frame building that burned to the ground in the 1930s. It’s now a pleasant facility with 38 beds. Services include 24-hour emergency care, physical therapy and occupational medicine services, a same-day surgery center, and a fully modernized imaging center. The emergency department and intensive care unit were significantly expanded in 2008, thanks largely to contributions by major donors who ponied up $6 million for the project.
