Category: Accommodations
Telephone: (877) 431-1700
Address: 27 North Street

Description: In 2005, Healdsburg raised its profile even higher with the opening of this small but luxurious European-style hotel. The rooms—only 16 of them—are furnished with 18th- and 19th-century antiques, and feature four-poster canopy beds inspired by French royalty and dressed in Italian linens. The bathrooms have oversize showers or BainUltra tubs. Everything about this place is first-class, including the restaurant at street level, called Cyrus (see the Restaurants chapter). Condé Nast Traveler added the Les Mars to its “Hot List” of best new hotels in 2006. Without a doubt, this is the priciest stay of its kind in Sonoma County, with a Grand Room on the third floor fetching $1,000 per night. The “cheaper” rooms start at $575.
