Is Sun City Carolina Lakes in the middle of nowhere? It seems the Del Webb communities I've been to are kind of far away from everything. With gas so expensive now, that could be a consideration, plus the inconvenience.

Yes, it used to be a long way from everything just like Ballantyne used to be a long drive. Like everything else the city is moving to SCCL. We have drugstore, restaurants, Lowes, banks and much more going in right in front of the development.

It will be great as we will not have to drive far to go to the doctor, eat or anything else. In fact, we will be able to drive our golf cart to do much of these things.

Come take a look, that is if you are old enough!!!

Thanks for the interest!

And right across the road is a big development going in with Target, Belks, JC Penneys and tons of more stores.

Don't forget Harris Teeter is going to be in the one right at the entrance, too! And there is a WalMart supercenter going to be built about 4-5 miles up the road.

Hubby is desperate to get a Chick-Fil-A close by! One over on Rea Road, I think, but he wants to be able to walk to it or drive the golf cart.

I wonder if they would consider an overhead walkway to the other place???

we bought across the way in the other Del Webb/Pulte neighborhood, it seems far, but give it a year or two...people will be fighting to move out here!
