Go to your local transfer station. They have a disposal for motor oil and its canisters.

Not sure what a transfer station is. Autozone and Advance Auto Parts do accept motor oil from citizens at any of their stores, 7 days a week, 7am to 9pm except shorter hours on Sunday. That was seen on the county website.

Where people go to dump trash, recycle cans, bottles, cardboard and such. Fort Mill has 2 of them. They accept motor oil, tires and a lot of other items. They are all over York County.

Ok we call them recycle center. I think they have rejected cans of paint before. They may very well take oil.
Autozone or Advanced in alot closer than one of those stations.

Yep, they wont take open cans of paint or spray paint. I think they will take full cans of paint. I forget the rule.

Couldn't have been easier. 4 bottles of used oil in the bottles, in a box, handed to the clerk at Advanced Auto parts next to the Bi-Lo while shopping for food. Oil gone.

The recycle centers have a container you can pour the used oil into, and also can take oil filters.
