Wondering if there is a discount grocery store in Gillette (a store like united grocery outlet; dented boxes, near the end of experation date stuff). Or is it just walmart that has the cheapest groceries?
Thanks for any info.

I was wondering the same thing. I've looked around but haven't found anything like it. There is a great one in Billings called Mr. Thrifty so if you ever get up there pay them a visit!

I see that you have a "Dollar Tree" store there.. I usually find fairly good grocery deals on "dented" boxes and the like at our local one, and Walmart usually has the best prices on dry goods/canned goods from what I've found. Not sure if it's the same in Wyoming, though.

Does anyone know of "bread stores" in Wyoming...discount breads from local bakeries?

Walmart looks to be it around here. I am very glad we have a WalMart... Smith's and Albertson's are a bit more expensive, but sometimes my husband likes to go there because he doesn't like crowds. Me, I don't mind crowds, and it's not such a big deal to stand in line forever. Well, sometimes I wish it didn't take so long... depends on the day.

I just heard of a bread store here in Gillette the other day. Need to check it out. The ladies I was talking to said it is good bread, and less expensive than in the grocery stores. Wish I remembered the name, think it starts with an H. The store is off of highway 59, on the right, before you get to the SkyHi theatre sign. Going south on the highway. I need to check that out soon...

The Sweetheart bread one day old bread outlet is on the east side of Hwy 59 going south. It's just like the ones in Billings, Laurel, etc. Bread is still fresh and a lot cheaper. They also have all the buns, bagels, english muffins, etc. type stuff as well as Dolly Madison type pies & desserts, jams, box stuff like Hamb. Helper, pasta, cookies, sauce mixes, etc.

There is a place called Rob's that is tucked into a "strip mall?" across from what used to be the Sports Zone. It is across Warlow Drive at the very North end of the building. I have never been there since they have moved but they do carry the damaged boxes and that sort of thing for cheap. My freind bought a sweater from there the other day, so apparently food isn't the only thing that they sell. They have a larger store in Belle Fourche South Dakota that is packed with that sort of thing. Even some appliances! It's a nice Saturday drive if you take the back roads. The Sweatheart bakery outlet is definately the best route to go for bread, snack cakes, and many other things that are wonderful for packed lunches and home snacks.

Thanks, I can't wait to check out Robb's! I looked it up in the phone book & it is on Warlow so shouldn't be hard to find. I think I'll go there today!

We went to Robb's today. It is really easy to find on Warlow, close to the Burger King near the furthest west interstate exit. They didn't have a big variety of food, but what they had was cheap. They don't have any cold or frozen food like I'm used to in Billings' discount stores. But it's better than nothing! They don't have much for clothing, just a rack & a few things a pile left, all for $1.00. What they have an abundance of is things like canned beans, Mexican items and protein bars. They also have a lot of baby food that is at a great price for those young moms out there. Not a lot there, but worth checking out & going to now and then.
