I have been offered a job in Rock Springs so I am trying to get as much info as possible before making the move. I hear it can be bitter cold, windy and is very barren. However, from what I see on the web it looks like a nice town and I have that the people and surrounding area are both very nice. Anyway any information you can offer about living there would be great. I love the outdoors biking and swimming are some of my hobbies. I know I will need to move my swimming indoors but if its a bike friendly city that would be great.
P/S I have always wanted to take up fly fishing.

Thanks.

Default Rock Springs

I would suggest that you visit Rock Springs if at all possible before you decide to move there. I do have friends that live there and love it but some people have moved there and then can't wait to get out.

rock springs is a place that most people either really love or really hate.its desert so if you dont like the desert areas it wont be for you.i have a friend who has lived there for 25 years and loves it.i dont think its that cold as wyoming goes.ive visited there many times and liked it better then ne wyoming where i lived at the time.most of my friends and relatives in ne wyoming dont like it.i think its less windy than rawlins, cheyenne or casper.i would suggest you visit before you move there,i would live there but many people i know would not.
