Attached are two of the best photos I took during a trip to Wyoming for family reunion last July 4th week. The first is from up top of the Bighorns looking SW. The second is from my cousin's cabin above Cody looking East.

Stunning!! Beautiful shots. Makes me want to go there even more. Just reading a Joe Pickett (CJ Box) book and the Bighorns are mentioned throughout the series. Brings it right into perspective. Thanks!

This is the very-much-on-the-beaten-path path around Bear Lodge. It's a sight that typically goes unseen in pictures of this astounding natural feature. But the fallen rock. Just look at it. It's like erosion happens and stuff. And then I found out that the rock in Bear Lodge itself is unusual outside of Africa. So double cool. Unusual rock in North America. Amazing feature of the planet Earth.

(And I'm going to stick with calling it Bear Lodge for reasons.)

I don't have any WY pictures to add here (yet?!) but I just wanted to share my thoughts... sorry if this sounds cheesy...
These pictures remind me how much beauty there is on earth and how we are so lucky and fortunate to be alive. There is a lot of turmoil going on in the world today but looking at these pictures reminds me of humanity's potential for good...
Not sure if that makes sense but these pictures bring me peace and serenity.
Thank you for sharing

The Milky Way peeks over the valley of the Wind River Canyon as an oncoming train lights up a wall.

I took this at 330 in the morning a few days ago. I wanted to wait another hour for the Milky Way to be more vertical, but I still had a long drive ahead of me.

The three bright objects in a triangle in the center are Saturn (left), Mars (top right), and Antares (bottom right.)

Once again, a stunning photograph Cloudfish! Simply breathtaking.
