Hello,
I need to be located in-between Lander and Riverton due to working in both cities on different days. Can you suggest where to look for a rental house?

Thanks in advance.

I'd call the real estate agencies in both towns and see what they've got to offer that meets your requirements for house and price point. Both towns have an active rental marketplace, likely that Lander will be the more expensive area for a SFH.

The corridor between the towns doesn't have much in the way of residential development. I wouldn't expect to find rental SFH housing in Hudson ....

Hudson is the only town between Lander and Riverton and it is a VERY small town. I can't imagine there is much available to rent there.

I have rented in Hudson in the past, at two different properties, there were several rental houses there, at least four others that I know of for sure. It is a nice little town, I enjoyed living there. You have to go around and ask at the local businesses to find out what is there. Mama Svilar, "Svilar's Bar and Dining Room", rented my first place there to me. Sheriff Peel helped me arrange to rent one house that was vacant right on the bend at the East end of town, the owners had moved out of town.

Both of them have probably passes away by now.

"mama" Bessie Svilar opened the restaurant in 1920, and passed away in 1981 according to the newspaper clippings posted in the restaurant.

I would infer that it's been quite some time since you rented a house from her ...

The Hudson real estate market does have a few SFH houses for sale right now ... ranging from sub-$100K to a high of $210K. If the OP has the inclination and 20% downpayment cash available, buying a modest house in this area might be a better deal than renting given the current low RE APR's.
