Looking at property 40 miles Southwest of Rock Springs (45 miles south of Green River). Anyone out there know if the winter, snow and winds might be any better than in the immediate RS or GR areas? I have read a lot on the city data pages about the wind and cold winters in RS and GR, but was curious if it may be any better in the general area of the potential property I mentioned. Thanks for any information.

The roads south of Rock Springs an Green River (going to Vernal, UT) are closed frequently during the winter.

If anything I would say the wind blows more down there. It will be just as cold if not colder and possibly snowier down that way than in town.
