My friends are interested in moving to Cheyenne this summer. They're planning to visit in about two weeks.

Their main issues are:
Healthcare jobs (especially radiology)
Big bookstores and libraries
Neighborhoods (that aren't run down) with reasonably priced real estate

They're also looking to rent a furnished house/condo/apartment for 2-3 months before they buy a house.

Any answers or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
Elliott

Healthcare jobs in the Cheyenne area underwent a sizable hiring surge over the last several years, and there's a lot of folk currently employed in the biz. Job openings are whatever your friends will find when they get here and are qualified for ....

Big bookstores? one major chain bookstore is all that survives in Cheyenne. Otherwise, you're looking at the several flea markets that have some selections. The Cheyenne main library is a recent new building and a showpiece for Cheyenne; however, it's still a relatively small facility if compared to "big city" libraries around the country. They'll need to judge for themselves if it meets their expectations.

Define "affordable" housing. Acreage? Size of house, bedrooms, baths, amenities, finish, quality of construction? Price range? Neighborhood character? Access to work, play?
