So when are the summer months in Casper? How long do they last? How is Fall there? I love Fall weather. Iv heard how winter is and how cold it gets. LOL So just curious about the other seasons. Are there any zoo's or amusement parks and if so what all do they have?

The summer months in Casper are from mid-June to September. There really isn't much of a fall anywhere that I've lived or been in Wyoming, it gets cold and then goes to winter. The Platte River is there so you could swim there or at the lake in Alcova. There are no zoos or amusement parks in town. The nearest "zoo" would be Bear Country USA or Reptile Gardens in Rapid City and the nearest amusement park is Denver which is several hours away.

I think there's a public swimming pool, isn't there?

It snowed here on Thursday.

It's not that cold. Coming from Michigan, it's drier, so it doesn't feel as bad. Plus the sun's rays are warm - less atmosphere.

But the wind. Oh the never-ending mind-breaking wind. The windows rattle. You can't cook out - the flame blows out and the wind takes the buns away. You have to park the car the right way so you can get the door open. Never open two doors at once - the wind blows everything out and away. You can't walk outside with a notepad and write. I leaned into the the back seat to get something out of my truck and the wind slammed the door on my legs. You can't spray paint outside - the dust. The wind. There are cracks now in the edges of my sanity.

I forgot to add, there are a series of three really nice reservoirs South of Casper, with some decent camping spots along the shores. They probably make for some nice refreshing swimming on hot summer days, as well as some good trout fishing. Alcova, Pathfinder and Seminoe Reservoirs.

As ElkHunter says: "The snow doesn't melt here, it just blows around until it wears out".
