Sheridan has plenty of shopping. If there is something you need that you cannot find here then there is always the internet.

I've been here a long time and I'm happy with the shopping. One bad thing about Sheridan is selection. If you want ski's, you can buy ski's. But you are limited to only 5 or 6 kinds so they may not have exactly the make and model a person wants, but they do have ski's.

It's the same with anything else. It's available here. I wear levi's. Clean, new ones for Sunday, last years for everyday. I can get pants in Sheridan. You might not find an Armoni suit, but you can find a suit.

Now, if we only had a Cabela's......

Don't ever go into one. The two closest ones are Rapid City, and Billings. They are dangerous to your life. Should you accidentally go into one, your wife will beat lumps on your knoggin faster then you can rub em. Leave your checkbook and credit cards at home. Wear blinders and have somebody lead you exactly to what you are after. Look at your feet and do not let your eyes stray ahead of you high enough to see what's on the shelves.

Cabelas

I didn't know they had one in Billings.

But EH is spot-on. And if, for some unfathomable reason, you do escape with finances intact, you're going to have this insurmountable hunger to return and purchase the cherished item that you left behind -- the gun, fishing rod, canoe -- something that keeps calling to you.

Just opened last fall. It's on the same exit you take to go to the hospitals.

Cabela's is worth it to stop and have a look even if you don't buy anything. I love their taxidermy wildlife displays & live fish habitats.

As long as the Chinese Buffet continue to put out crab-legs and keep the lunch-rates below $10, and as long as Star Liquor keeps my favorite 'poison' on the shelves...I'm happy here.

The town of Cody is becoming a distant memory, the longer I stay here...

(but there are times I wish there were a way to relocate the 'Irma' to Sheridan...lol

Sportsmans Warehouse has the same selection and is so much cheaper than Cabela's, we don't even care about going there anymore unless I feel like huntin around in the bargain cave.

The same as Cabela's? I'm not too sure of that. Been to both and I found a very vast difference.
