Hmmm...I wonder if this could be the same realtor who---many years ago--showed my parents some homes that were located on a recently-built, "Culver Sack".
My father, who did not suffer fools gladly, knew that this moron was referring to a cul de sac, so he played dumb, and asked the realtor to spell this term for us.
Sure enough, he spelled it, C-u-l-v-e-r S-a-c-k.

I also don't look for errors when reading, but, they seem to jump out at me, so, I see them whether I want to or not. When looking at a web page that's supposed to be professional and there's a misspelled word, I am put off and usually don't linger. I don't always spell correctly, but, I know it's wrong and use ispell to correct it.
I wish the word anyway would survive as it is, not as the non-word anyways some use. When it is spoken or written as a plural, it sends a pain through my sensibilities.
