I don't like the description "big time," as in "he was in trouble big time" or "she's a big time reader." Ugh. Think of another adjective.

My wife pointed it out to me so now it annoys me, too.

"Centers around..."

How does something center around something else?

There is that word copacetic.

OK...

Now, of course there's no reason to hate it. There's absolutely no convincing etymology for the word, but it does its job, it doesn't hurt anyone, doesn't take up a lot of space, doesn't eat up any resources. Doesn't interrupt, doesn't usurp, doesn't destroy. But when it does pop up it's like some strange kid at your dinner table who's not related or in any way attached to anyone. Where the hell did this kid come from?

Has anyone said 'iconic' yet? Every journalist seems to describe anything as 'iconic'.

"App," because I'm not a big fan of cutesy abbreviations when they're just excuses to avoid spelling longer words. If you can't even spell "application," how are you going to fill one out?

"No problem" when used in place of "your welcome."

the phrase "each and every." It just makes my skin crawl. Each implies every, and vice versa.

BTW, it's "you're welcome".....

Not knowing the difference between "there" and "their" and "they're"..

Anyone using the word "eclectic"...just trying to be pretentious..
