The first time I saw the word "menus," I thought it rhymed with venus and genus. I figured from context it mean food (this was before all the pull down menus). Also, I thought "misled" was pronounced "missiled" and the context almost confirmed it. This is in addition to alternate pronunciations, such as "feb-you-ary."
I thought it was "missiled" for years, too!
I also thought determined was detter-mined.
Not to mention the criminals who were in-dick-ted.
My stepdaughter could read very early (3) and one of the words she mispronounced was "ashamed". To her, in her world of many books, it was ASH-a-med. We still say it, sometimes, just for laughs.

Growing up in a small town we used to, well, actually they still do, pronounce Agatha Street, Ah-Gatha. First time our out of town 4th grade teacher heard that she flipped out.
And a neighboring town, North Versailles, is pronounced North VER-Sales.
Hors d'oeuvres. It came out "Hores dee vores," accompanied by a cacophony of horselaughs.
Have used "appetizers" every since.
