although I must admit I got a lil heartbroken one day when I found a lil girl s grave marker which had no name just baby and the last name and she lived for one day .
Do people who use this abbreviated form of the word really say lil heartbroken or lil girl? Is it a colloquialism?

Maybe it is just a lazy way to write. My son often writes “prolly” for “probably.” I hope these words aren’t spoken that way.
