No, you're being too kind. After careful consideration, there are some people whose greatest contribution to a conversation (often, sadly, any conversation) would be a profound & heart-felt & prolonged silence.

The maned checkouts were gone and it's all self service checkouts.

Yah, well, the thing was, the horses basically worked for chickenfeed.
Plus, they couldn't really handle the cash registers. Every time the little bell went off, they'd bolt out the door & run a coupla furlongs. (Made some real money on the bobtail nag, though.)
So, yah, they were re-mane-dered off. They were given free rein ... & so on.
