One came up in a book I was reading: vapours. Presumably some kind of nervous reaction mostly limited to women.

This is sometimes called a "swoon". I wonder if any women ever have these "spells" anymore?

Smooth. As in: That guy was soooo smooth.

I heard a word I hadn't heard in a while yesterday. Angleworm. Usually people just call them worms now. We always used to call them angleworms. Oops - does that mean I'm as old as your grandparents now? Perish the thought!

Oh, yeah, and do your grandparents call it a fridge, or an icebox?
