Ok, but is there a happy medium as in somewhere to live in a mountain or country setting and still be close enough to NY? Not looking to live in a major city like NY. Catskills?

There probably is a happy medium for some people, but this thread is about the top 10 cities.

You've got to visit New York. It's the most bustling and urban U.S. city. The best attractions, nightlife and restaurants as well. Right up there with London and Paris in many ways.
