Hispaniola, especially the Vega Real area and the Central Mountains.

Here is a glimpse landing at Cibao International Airport. Look at that natural scenery surrounding the airport.

There are other areas too on the same island, such as these which are a few of the total...

In the Central Mountains near Valle Nuevo. Doesn't seem like the same island, yet it is.

Typical scenery around the Azua beltway...

Sicily is the most beautiful island I’ve personally visited, it’s seriously underrated in terms of natural beauty. Puerto Rico and Sint Maarten are honorable mentions.

Kauai, the Azores, and Canary Islands are on my bucket list.

This video gives a clearer view instead of the first one I posted in the quote.

Landing is very close to 3:42 to get a ground level view of the typical scenery.

Here is a view of part of the Cibao Valley from the Santo Cerro hill.

Another thing, though not possible to notice in videos, is the weather. It tends to be cooler at night and in the early mornings than along the coast and humidity tends to be tolerable too, many times so low it feels there is no humidity.

In this one a Canadian woman (with her Dominican husband) is impressed with the natural beauty on the coastal side of the Las Américas Highway in Santo Domingo. Skip to 7:23 to get to the part where the natural beauty is on display. Around 18:13 another comment of hers regarding the natural beauty. Agsin while in the toll with a close up at 20:30. This video was uploaded yesterday, so most likely it was filmned a few days ago.

Some lovely places here, I wouldn't mind living on an island, well a smaller one than I already do! The Scilly's or the Isle of Wight perhaps.
