Until the entire economy shifts back to where one person can bring home enough to support a family, or until society suddenly develops better child care solution.....one person in the family is going to have to have the crappier job to make sure the kids have coverage.

Wow, many, many expletives come to mind. Work is work, pay for the job & the expertise that the employee brings. Who cares what body part lies under the pants? If a person can do the job and do the job well, there is absolutely NO REASON to discriminate in hiring or pay rate. I hope a woman is your boss.
