Hi,

I recently moved from CA to FL and I wanted to know what would be a good salary to live comfortably in northern FL.

I'm a tax accountant.

Thanks!

What does "live comfortably" mean?

Pay your bills and have enough left over to save up.

I have no idea what an accountant can expect to get here, but you should be able to live comfortably on your own with $40k net income a year.

You could live modestly, yet comfortably, on your own with $30k net income a year. At least I know I could.

Save up how much?

What are your bills?
What are your housing costs?
Utilities?
Do you max out your 401(k)?
Do you put in $5K to a Roth IRA?
Do you have disability insurance?
Student loans?
Auto Insurance?
Car payments?
Saving for a home down payment?
Health Insurance?
