Look in the Syracuse and Albany (Capital District) area of NY. I have recently heard from friends in those areas in that general field that they have gotten recruitment calls trying to lure them to other companies.

Apply to Walter Energy. They have Walter Coke, Walter Resources and some other affilliates that hire maintenance. They are Union in that capacity. Also, you may want to apply to Acipco. They are always ranked high in "best places to work". Right now, Walter Energy has an opening for a cert. elect.

If you are not Union, Walter has a 401k and a Defined pension plan plus an employee stock purchase assistance plan. Can't be beat.
