I've had enough of this. We, the American people, are getting screwed in new ways each and every day.

Saving money has become a luxery. Enemployment continues to skyrocket. New job creation is almost all in the minimum wage sectors. We get nickel and dimed to death in just about every single way. Health and dental care is completely unnaffordable. Politicians are hopelessly corrupt and our political system stagnates in bureucratic nonsense.

The costs of virtually everything increase while wages stagnate. The middle class life is almost extinct. Our government has for all intents and purposes become an oligarchy. Mega-corporations are eliminating small business owners in every sector of the economy from agriculture to retail and everything inbetween. I could keep on going.

This country is going down the gutter. And where are the mass protests? Where are the people getting together to demand change? It's not happening, people are just staying in their houses, watching TV, surfing the internet, getting intoxicated, trying to ignore what's happening and insulate themselves in their own bubbles. If this kind of thing were happening in just about ANY other country there would be uprisings and major actions being taken by the people.

Our government is NOT what it claims to be. This is the land of the free? This is a democracy? Not at all, not at all. It has tranformed into an oligarchy, a plutocracy.

So i'm getting out of here. This country is toast. I left this country once before for a few years, and i'm about to get the F outta here again, before I fall any deeper into credit card debt.

It's too bad too. The USA is a beautiful country with amazing nature, diversity and wealth. But it's just too hard to survive here, too hard to save money, too hard to escape the life of wage slavery and poverty.

See ya on the other side of the world. And about to go stack up some cash and eat some sushi

Most likely. I'm looking into several Asian countries. Before, I lived in Korea and China. So it's going to be somewhere in northern Asia.

Compared to the US, I can live on easy street over there

You could also consider Cuba in addition to North Korea.

Japan has 3x the debt the US does on a per GDP basis, and their stock market fell from 40,000 to around 10,000 where it is now over 20 years. If you're moving anywhere I certainly wouldn't move to Japan. I'd go someplace with lots of natural resources like Canada. Or maybe Brazil.

Can you really complain if you can afford to fly to another country and travel places, when some are trying to figure out how to buy food for their families?

I am totally broke. I'm in debt. No car. No job. I have almost no money in the bank. As I wait to go overseas, I spend my days eating cheap food, excercising, working on art, and keeping myself busy doing anything that does not cost money.

The only reason why I can go over there is because I found a gig that will pay to fly me out there and set me up in a free apartment. I'm just waiting for the paperwork to go through now.

I applied at about a hundred places in the US with no luck, been unemployed for months. Then I started applying overseas and got hired within two days.

Good Luck to you, if I were 30 years younger I'd be with you. But now I'm old and totally dependent on my Socialist VA Health Care

Sounds so Hemingwayesc, if that is a word! Actually sounds great. When I was in Europe there was not as much emphasis on cars, work and such. At least you will get free healthcare just in case you are diagnosed with something, and not have to lose your mind and your house to live! I am artsy too, so maybe I can go? Just kidding! Goodluck.
