Yes, but you probably need to be vaccinated. That's a big no-no for some people. If you deal with customers, or even other employees, the liability for the employer would be enormous.
I will work for $2 an hour IF I can rent that $40 per month apartment and drive that $100 used car, and eat those 50cent lunches. Its all relative. Wage has to match the cost of housing, food, and transportation or it doesnt work. Low skill or not, cost of living is the cost of living. Its not artificially lower cause you dont want to pay that much to your employees.
Minimum wage should be what it costs to live minimally in that community without requiring welfare or food stamps. Thats NOT starting out at the top, thats starting out on bottom rung. People that think people should start out living in a dumpster or under a bridge or ILLEGALLY sharing a one bedroom apartment with twenty other guys, are the ones being unrealistic.
McJobs - always are hiring so you can always get one.
Right now so many people have been scared crapless about the "most deadly virus in the universe" which turned out to be just another flu, so people have turned into germaphobes thanks to the germaphobes in office. This means Mcjobs have gotten affected by this because they can't be done remotely. So there is a shortage - of people who are not germaphobes.
Career jobs: Except for sales and mcjobs, there are no jobs that require no experience. Employers are STILL enforcing a catch-22. There is no labor shortage there.

Not necessarily. There is a job board specifically for companies seeking employees regardless if they are either vaccinated or not. https://redballoon.work/jobs/

Yes, it depends on the kind of job. It's the minimum/lower wage jobs up to about $20/hour that are begging for help. Once you get up to the $30+ jobs with good benefits requiring experience and skills, it's still competitive. My last hire (last week) for a $60k job resulted in 22 applicants, 8 met the minimums, 4 were very well qualified, making it a difficult choice.
There is a shortage of people willing to work. Even many of the high paying jobs are having problems finding qualifed workers, because there is a shortage of people willing to do the work necessary to get qualified.
