And if you're serving a couple, make sure to pay equal attention to the woman. I don't mean being flirty to her, well unless that's your thing but looking directly at her, be nice and attentive to the woman too. Just don't flirt with the man to get bigger tips. The woman will shut down that extra tip real quick.
Whatever you do, NEVER act flirty with a man in front of his woman, and if he acts flirty with you in front of her be polite, smile, but don't flirt back. You'll get both you and him in trouble. Trouble for you means little or no tip, and some stony looks or snarky comments from the Mrs..... AWKWARD! For him, a fight in the car on the way home, and no hanky-panky for awhile, and if they're on a date, maybe no more dates for him.
I’m aware that serving is not an easy job (duh). People are always saying that better looking servers make better tips so I was just checking to make sure that’s true. There will probably be tons of flirty guys that I would hate to deal with (like I already do on a regular basis) but if they leave me large tips then I guess I can’t complain
In my past experiences, extremely attractive servers and bartenders delivered extremely bad service. Because god-knows-why. So I absolutely NEVER tip extra based on looks. And if I see any signs of snootiness, I think long and hard while calculating how much to give, rather than blithely rounding up.
I also tip on politics. If a server, male or female, gets confrontational with me about being bare-faced while pausing between bites, then they get 15% if they're lucky AND deliver top-notch service. (I do put on a Biden diaper when getting up to use the restroom, if local laws say so.)
Like it or not, studies have shown that people considered attractive earned more in tips than those deemed less attractive. And that's regardless of service level.
Makes sense, attractive people in general have a lot of advantages in society, better jobs, better treatment, on and on.
If you got it, take advantage of it, no shame in that.
I heard that attractive women tend to make a lot more in tips in serving jobs compared to the average server. That’s just a stereotype. I don’t know if it’s true. If it is, then I guess I’m in luck. Not to brag or anything, but I have been told many times that I should model. I can’t because I’m too short (5’6), but I guess that means I am conventionally attractive. Should I expect a lot in tips? I currently have a dead end receptionist job and I need something that pays more. If I can make a lot in serving, then I’m quitting my 9-5.

Attractiveness and/or good look is subjective. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. From what you say you are 5'6, I think that is too tall to wear high heels. You would look like a tower, towering over the customers. Men would have to look up too high when they talk to you. They don't like that feeling. I've noticed that men like servers at an average height (5'4) with high heels. That's one thing. Another is people like sweet girls/young women, not the one who is tough saying duh. LOL
Well, you don't have to be a server in a fancy restaurant to make more money than being a receptionist. Being an escort can make more money if you know how to find rich men or sugar daddy. They like attractive tall women. But this line of work is more challenging and dangerous.

Yes, that's right. Sell cars or houses. If you have knowledge about the products you sell, about technology and know how to talk, you can always make a lot of money. Even doing youtubing.
As woman I could care less what a server looks like. You also sound pretty conceited which is very unattractive. I care if someone is nice and does a good job.
