Gift cards for any department store that sells white shirts or long skirts/conservative clothing!!! Like Macy's (or the like), if SLC has one?? Chain restaurants that are in the SLC are can be safe too - I believe there is a Cheesecake Factory in SLC. My Mormon acquaintances do not drink wine, coffee, tea, beer, soda, etc. AT ALL!!!! They do not like spicy foods, etc. But they do like to dress a certain way and it is in their culture for the men to wear white shirts and the women to wear long dresses/skirts.
One thing I don't get is gifting in the form of a charitable donation. Why would people even do that? Maybe that deserves a post all of its own...
I would much rather have someone donate to a charity as my "gift" then get another thing I did not choose, want or need. I have too much stuff already, as do many First World citizens.
I do this at Christmas, if people don't like it, oh well. I don't like it when I send them a carefully chosen gift and never hear from them. At least my money is not going to waste.
When I see my grandkids IN PERSON, I bring a gift. For some reason, parents will prompt their kids to say THANK YOU for a gift as small as a lollipop, when it is given in front of them. But send a $75 deluxe Lego set and..........crickets. Or the parents will send a thank you, this happens with my oldest GKs who are 10. I was sitting down and writing my own TY notes much younger than that. And no, I don't expect a note by mail, a text or phone call would be fine.
If they're all executives, there's always the executive desk toy options. There's whole bunches of little oddball things to put on a desk and play with. Or a vintage 'Magic 8 Ball' so they can make decisions?
Is there something that SLC is specifically known for (and no, I don't mean Mormons!)? Some type of special art or craftwork that is particular to the area?
Many Mormons have game night / family time one day a week.
How about a nice Onyx chess set?
Or maybe a game assortment with games for the grandkid visits and adult games too? e.g. Ants in your Pants and Pictionary
Gift cards are practical, but not at all fun at this type of an event. The idea is to add fun and for the people to bond with each other, get to know each other better. How does it feel to watch person after person open a gift card? BORING....

Years ago I went through SLC airport, and bought a vase made by local craftsman. I have no idea what's there now, but, you might check out the airport gift shops for something unique to the area.
Sorry for my ignorance, but you can't drink coffee if you're Mormon? Why? I understand liquor, but coffee?
Never Mind! I just saw a post that said Mormons don't consume caffeine. Wow, I didn't know that!
Well, gift card to a restaurant or movie theater?
Perhaps I stand corrected....I now understand Mormons will drink tea? Best to research....But a gift card to Starbucks would still be acceptable, they sell decaf coffee.
