If you're counting from the first time I walked into the place. it's been a little over four years, but that figure is distorted by the fact that part of time was spent in the employ of a temp agency, and I was also involuntarily separated for a time due to a production-quota issue -- eventually resolved to the satisfaction of all involved

I suspect this won't sit well with some of the people here who don't understand that we all can't have full-time jobs at a wage "sufficient to support a family" when most of us don't have sole responsibility for supporting one. My plant has a pronounced seasonal peak -- and hires just about anyone it can for that. We also have a lot of female employees who leave and return depending upon the demands of family.

But having attained the age of 65 a few months ago, and having developed sources of income beyond a paycheck over my career, working here -- stable or not -- is a much better deal that most of the part-time retail "opportunities" out there.

Coming up on ten years at the same company, just switched departments in September. I plan to stay with this company until I retire in 15ish years.

20 months now. I was lucky enough to be made a permanent staff member within 5 months of employment but am starting to feel that the pay is not commensurate to the amount of work done or the ability of staff. This feeling is exacerbated when you see top performing staff leave, management seems very disconnected to how the business works in practice.

Coming up on 3 years and I'd be happy to stay until retirement. I have no desire to go through the hiring process again and most places in the private sector suck to work for in my profession.
