What is the profession you respect the most? I respect nurses the most, They have got me though some hard times in my life while I was in the hospital for a few health problems, showed compassion, made sure I wasn't in any pain and a few times noticed things the doctor did not. I don't think they get the credit or respect they deserve, and are grossly underpaid. Nurses the heart of healthcare, the foundation of a patients stay. Thank you for what you do! What's yours, and why?

Any profession that works with helping the poor or disadvantaged. Those people are rarely in it for the money and display the type of selfless behavior that makes me proud to be a human being.

And if there's a zombie apocalypse, any doctor will be worth their weight in gold.

I don't admire any profession more than any other. Rather, I look to the individual and assess them based on their own attributes.

I don't look at professions themselves as noble, but rather the people who are in it.

Doctors, especially those that work ER. Extremely stressful work where your efforts, or lack there of, can be the difference between someone's survival or death. I imagine it's quite satisfying work when things go right though.

Other than that, I respect anyone who makes an effort in this world by working hard, paying taxes, and carrying their own weight.
