I have to send an email to a higher up about assisting with any projects in their sector.

Here is what I have come up with, but I really don't like it.

Is there a better way to phrase this?

Good Afternoon XXX

Per an earlier discussion with XXX, please find my resume attached in regards to any projects that may require additional support.

When your schedule permits, I welcome the opportunity to meet with you and learn how I can both assist and contribute to your division

Thanks

You could express extreme interest in their area and examples of how you could improve their productivity. ie reading and typing up reports, filing, running errands, ect..

Yes, it looks like a good start. Just elaborate a bit like the previous poster suggests. After..."may require additional support"....add some of your specialty areas...Than leave the last sentence as is. Otherwise it is professional and to the point. Good luck

What about walking into this person's office and talking to him instead?

What's the PURPOSE of the email...just to send the info about you so they know you have the skills to help in that department?

What's the end game of it all?
