I like to learn on my own and would like to learn something on my own mostly, that would be easily marketable. What is kind of difficult to learn, but possible to be self taught and is in high demand?

This depends on person to person. For some people, they can teach themselves to configure software at home and get a job doing it.

Other people teach themselves to cook and get a job at a local restaurant.

I don't think you need to realize what comes to you easily to be able to teach it to yourself.

But when you get a job doing it, you're doing with other people's money.... so it's not all that bad at all.

Basically anything that has to do with sales. You can sell insurance, cosmetics, vitamins, cars... you name it. If you are a good salesman, you will find something to do on your own.

i took C++ and basic (basic was a prerequisite) i'm very rusty with C++ and never was proficient. i could learn more, but i'd only want to do that if i could soon use the skills to make money. i'd be interested in freelancing even if it only payed so so.

i've taught myself html and made my own website that i use for my business.

i could learn any language i suppose, but i'd want to be able to make some part time money on my own time soon. i don't want to spend the time and effort learning, just to find out that it's not possible to do anything with it.
