My husband has his first ever interview this coming Monday. He's been in the restaurant business as a fine dining waiter and mgr for the past 20 years. He went back to school (was an English major) and got his chemistry degree. It's a BS/MS program, so hopefully he'll finish up the MS while working F/T. He's interviewing at a diagnostics lab about 5-10 minutes from our house. I didn't know there was a lab so close! As a fine dining waiter he makes a decent income and we're thinking he'll have to take a pay cut for a first out of college job. Either way, the no-commute factor is huge. I work in Cambridge and between gas, tolls, time, and parking it costs us around $400/mo just for me to go to work!
I'm praying to the FSM that he gets an offer and that it's at least in the mid-40s.

Thanks for the well wishes. He had the interview yesterday and received a call today for the second round, which will happen on Monday. That's nice for him since it's his first interview experience. The salary potential is still up in the air, but since he's going at it pretty green we'll be happy with the bare minimum.
Good luck! I hope everything goes well, and let us know how it goes!
