Anyone know how the Austin, TX, job market is right now? Also, what about temp companies? Any help is much appreciated!

It depends---are you Indian, Chinese, Asian? come on down!

But if you're a middle-aged white guy, forget it, unless you can consider working at fast food or sacking groceries to provide for your family...............

Yes, that is true. Even when I graduated from UT in 1986, nearly all the grads were flocking to houston, dallas & other major cities. It was understood that there were fewer jobs and generally you would earn less because there was a such a great supply of college grads.
