I am looking to relocate my Family from North Georgia to the Rice Lake area, I need to be between Spooner and Chippewa Falls. Can anyone tell me if this is a good area - schools, medical, shopping, etc...We are looking to rent a home for about a year then buy something. What can we expect to pay in rent and what type of home can we get?

Welcome to Wisconsin first of all. As far as schools go unsure of them, but medical have both Marshfield clinic, Lake View medical center, and Luther Midelfort clinic all which are good.I know the Marshfield clinic and Lakeview well with surgery's and all. Shopping ok got small mall,K mart,Walmart,Ashley furniture and smaller ones also. Rent may want to find a realtor in area and check on that and gice specifics of what want.Rice Lake is growing and should be good.

Most of Wisconsin Schools are a rank above most. We're really tied with Illinois and some New England States. The school districts seem to offer alot of options for credits. Enjoy Wisconsin!

Did you move to Wisconsin after all? I live in California and I'm now looking into moving out there.
