Miles 399-405 near Mt. Pisgah will remain closed until the land is stabilized from slide threat.

But now is a GREAT time to get out and see the Spring show going on.

And for me, having just received yesterday my new Canon 400mm L IS AF f/2.8 lens (12 lbs!), it is an awesome time to test some photo skills (and get my mind off an unsuccessful house hunt).

The $6500 tax break is not gonna happen for us, so we can relax now and wait for the right house. It is out there somewhere and some experts say prices are going to fall again with a summer filled with foreclosures. We'll see.

I LOVE the Parkway. It is truly one of my favorite places in the world

You should take a road trip to ride it near Blowing Rock - visit that cute litte town, have a good meal, and take in Grandfather Mountain and all it has to offer!
