My family is looking to get away for a day or two. I would like to get some info and deals in the Boone area. For example, hotels, restaurants and attractions. We have a 10 year old daughter.

thanks

Hi, you can get to Boone, Blowing Rock within 2 hours depending on where you are in charlotte I say up to 2.5 hours at most in case you just want to do a day trip. I have done that before leave at 7 and come back at 8. Take 85 south to Gastonia and hwy 311 north and it will take you into beautiful blowing rock and boone.

Things to do is visit the villages in blowing rock , visit blowing rock itself, Grandfather Mountain and its mile high swinging bridge, then hop on the Welcome to the Blue Ridge Parkway ride and enjoy the scenery.

Also treat your girl to some time at Tweetsie Railroad: North Carolina's Original Family Theme Park and try to figure out the mystery at Mystery Hill Attractions-Mystery Hill and... (broken link) .
