The lines are a little weird for schools so someone else will have to chime in.......but apartments close to there (10-15 minutes), close to downtown, not filled with UNCA students, and safe and clean........Cadence Village at Woodland Hills. Most of the quoted rates on the apartment sites around here are higher then the actual. Call wherever you go for actual rates.

Default Rentals

I have been checking in with this site for several months and they seem to have some nice rentals in the area. Good luck.

the city has a magnet school system so your child could potentially attend a different school from the district you live in.

I would just be sure you are financially ready. Either with a job or enough money to live for a minimum of 6 months. The job market is not exactly booming.
