We just got back from looking at a gazillion homes in the Asheville area, and have (mostly) narrowed it down to Weaverville or Black Mountain.

It's hard to judge a neighborhood by it's houses (or at least the few we saw) and so we'd like some more info about these two small towns.

Anything could be helpful, and will be appreciated!

Thank you.

Well, Black Mountain has a really cute downtown area, lots of tourists visit it in summertime, and the neighborhood just east of picturesque Lake Tomahawk would be a great place to live, you can walk everywhere. Weaverville also has its own downtown, altho the place is more worn than Blk Mt. However, Weaverville is rather closer to Asheville. It does have some fairly nice houses just west of town, near the small Lake Louise, but it's nothing like Blk Mt for charm and quality. There have been posts about both places in this forum over the last couple years, you could do a "Search This Forum" and put in the names of each town for each search, and see what you else you can read about those two places.
