My family is looking to relocate to Asheville from Georgia, and I'm concerned about finding work as a massage therapist in the area. Is the market really as flooded as I keep hearing?
Thanks, gypsychic. I'll definitely have to rethink the move if it'll be hard to find employment.
The per capita supply is high. I wonder if the per capita demand is equally as high. I don't know, but it might be worth your while to call 3 or 4 therapists who practice your style and inquire if your area expertise is over crowded. They might answer honestly. On the other hand, they might want to scare you away from infringing on their turf.
As for me, I am looking for a good theraputic massage therapist. I am moving to Asheville next week. I probably could give you some feed back in a few weeks after I make some subtle inquiries.

That would be wonderful, FreeRadical. Thank you so much!!
Yes, well, you have to be licensed in most states, including Georgia. Thank you, though.
