Anyone who recently attended or have/had children attending these high schools I need to know the current view of each; which one is overall better? I researched and had decided on Asheville High for my daughter starting with a TIME magazine article that listed them in the top 100 High Schools in the Nation. Then I found out the history behind the building they occupy AND that they have a dance program (hence I don't have to pay for dance lessons anymore). Our family could not find the appropriate place to live within the city school district and am in the process of trying to get the transfer/release form signed by the AC Reynolds principal. Before that is finalized one way or another, please, tell me which one is considered the better school by the locals? Thank you in advance!
Me being a transfer student from Asheville High School to A.C. Reynolds High School I liked A.C. Reynolds better. The students are different. The students at A.C. Reynolds High School are more sociable and friendly. A.C. Reynolds sells pineapple pizza and Asheville High does not. A.C. Reynolds has a washer machine for students and Asheville High School does not. A.C. Reynolds is known for China and Performing Arts although I did not go to Beijing. I was there the year A.C. Reynolds did and does have China and Performing Arts and graduated the next year. A.C. Reynolds High School sells things. A.C. Reynolds has January graduations and Asheville High does not.
