Hi all,

It`s been a looooong process to find an apartment in Westchester within my budget. I found a nice 1 BDR in northeast Yonkers and I`m wondering if this area is safe. Apparently south Yonkers is bad however there are some good areas in the north and I`m wondering if this address is part of the nice area in Yonkers: 760 Tuckahoe Road, Yonkers NY 10710. I work evenings and I`ll be coming home around 1am.
Thanks for your help!

I haven't been out late at night there, but I would imagine that area is fine generally. It's right close to the borders of Tuckahoe and Bronxville. Short walk to a the bike path along the Bronx River.

I agree with the others that i think you should be fine. It's a main road so it depends each person's definition of 'nice area' but, in term of safety, I think it's a very safe area.

It's absolutely fine. Grew up there and my parents are still there. No worries. Yonkers gets alot of flack from folks, but you really can't find a more convenient area to live in. 10710 puts you close to every major parkway you need to use and a branch library that's superior to most main libraries (Grinton Will on Tuckahoe Road)

Best of luck
