I read about it today. Set to open in 2014. I've never been to Trader Joe's, but it seems to have a cult following... can't wait to check it out.

It's like a cheaper Whole Foods. I've only been a few times (in North Carolina) and I liked it. On my last trip, I stocked up on some pantry items and a few natural bath and beauty products.

Love Trader Joes for certain things...I buy the Almond Meal and my sister loves the brown Rice tortillas, I love their garlic hummus and a few other things...We have one right near my house in South Charlotte..

I find the things I buy there much better than Whole Foods...

In CA Trader Joes is beyond popular. Shopping on a normal day there is like shopping before Thanksgiving it is so busy. TJ seems to vary a little from store to store in terms of how much they have. Some have a smaller produce section etc. It is more affordable by far then Whole Foods. Some of the TJ products that they put their name on are popular brands. Though they discontinue good items sometimes which is annoying.
I think in Boca this store would do very well.

This is GREAT news. I was all set to miss TJ's when moving to Boca, but now I don't have to! I think people there will love it. Great, creative choices and always good prices.

Trader Joe's is over rated, they wrap all their produce in plastic...not green at all...they do not hydrate it so it spoils fast, also $2 buck chuck is not $2 bucks anymore nor is it a good cheap alternative wine....no thanks, I'll still pay more at Whole Wallet or The Fresh Market for quality produce and a great selection of other things..

I agree that the quality varies a lot on TJ products. Some though are name brand that they put the TJ name on.
Regardless I think this will do good in Boca just based on the name. People in Boca will shop at a place just based on it being "in" so to speak.
