I'm planning to go on a trip to west palm beach with my girlfriend.
We're looking for a late 20s crowd, where young professionals go for nightlife.
Any recommendations?

Define 'upscale'... Some would say Clematis or City Place... But, there are a lot of nice spots in Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter, just a bit more North than West Palm that are nice, classy, and not crazy with party people...

All those places are nice.
Jupiter offers some nice outdoor bars on the water and a small group of college type bars in Abacoa.
Palm Beach Gardens has the downtown area which has a few nice restaurants that turn into nightlife spots. There's also Rum Bar which is a nice outdoor bar on the intracoastal.
West Palm has Cityplace/Clematis. Cityplace is an outdoor mall with a couple nice places and Clematis has a few nightclubs. If you are looking for nightclubs this would probably be your best bet.
Atlantic in Delray is a strip of bars/restaurants. Very trendy area.
Depending on where your hotel is you should have plenty of choices within a short cab ride. The outdoor bars are great so you can enjoy the weather/atmosphere.
